My passion is to see the lives of vulnerable children changed for the better and I can think of nothing more rewarding than seeing them go on to achieve in adulthood. I enjoy working with forward thinking organizations who are not afraid to challenge themselves in order to deliver the best to improve the lives of vulnerable children. I have worked with several well known UK providers. I have brought strategic thinking to organizations enabling them to grow and develop.I have extensive experience in developing and delivering therapeutic interventions within the children's residential and fostering sector. I can support organizations to develop this aspect of their work in line with Ofsted evaluation criteria. For most of my career I have been involved in staff development using competency based criteria for meeting learning outcomes and linked this to evidence based practice that delivers good outcomes for children. Over the past 10 years my work has involved delivering positive step down outcomes for children leaving residential care and moving to fostering. Until recently I was a Trustee and Director of British Association of Play Therapists and have supported this organization for over 20 years through membership and being part of its governance. I am a qualified social worker of more than 40 years and a qualified Play Therapist of 25 years.
