Manages and represents assigned functional areas in multiple Phase I through Phase IV clinical research trials. Oversees and coordinates the operational aspects of assigned functional areas on ongoing projects to ensure the client’s goals of time, cost and quality performance are met.

Genetic Counseling - Hire, train and manage genetic counseling team that provides daily support of clinical operations including accessioning, variant analysis and report writing. Create technical and clinical content for laboratory products. Develop test reporting strategies and templates. Direct the improvement and streamline functions of genetic counseling team. Resolve high-level customer service issues. Project Management and New Test Development– Responsible for project planning, implementation, communication and risk management. Lead diverse groups to 60+ successful new product launches including next generation sequencing panels, CGH arrays and whole exome sequencing across several interdepartmental programs. Lead teams to identify and mitigate laboratory safety issues and establish billing and reimbursement policies in addition to many other process improvement initiatives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously.Marketing and Sales - Direct and manage the sales and marketing of multiple product lines throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, developing sales and marketing plans and working closely with the business unit to ensure revenue goals are met. Develop trade shows, web site messaging and promotional and educational materials. Define sales strategy for each product line that focuses sales efforts on high-yield clients as opposed to random client capture. Maximize opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling, as clinically appropriate. Results include > 20% growth of sales per year for major product lines in addition to national and international recognition of laboratory services. Research – Manage multiple facets of research projects including development of research proposals, IRB submissions, subject recruitment, data analysis, supervision of student researchers, co-authorship of manuscripts.

Genetic Counseling - Provided clinical support for daily operations of laboratory including interpretation of variants, report writing, communication with referring health care providers, resolution of customer service issues. Also responsible for development of website content, product information and sales and marketing materials. Program Development – Developed laboratory role of genetic counselor in Division of Human Genetics. Leveraged comprehensive immunodeficiency testing program at CCHMC as a model program for delivery of genetic testing services and as a world-wide leader in the field. Drove rapid expansion of product line through relationship building, increasing visibility of services via web-presence and trade shows and staff training to provide excellent customer service.

Genetic Counseling - Provide genetic counseling services to diverse pediatric patient population.Clinical Supervision – Responsible for the clinical training and development of master-level genetic counseling students in pediatric genetics. Developed and implemented a formal evaluation process for clinical rotations.
