Responsible for development of the wellness program for the UVA Consortium with Optima Health. Established relationships with each of the eighteen (18) entities of the UVA Consortium Wellness Program while administering program planning, e-blasts, WebEx presentations, on-site presentations, face to face meetings, biometric screenings,newsletters, and focus groups. Responsible for gathering the necessary information from introductory meetings, cultural assessments, focus group meetings, aggregate reporting of biometric screenings and personal health assessment data, to design and implement a wellness program which is based on behavioral objectives with defined measurable outcomes to be delivered to the employee population of 400.

In 2008, JKAY Fitness, LLC was created and soon purchased a franchise location with Anytime Fitness. Anytime Fitness is the world’s largest 24-hour, co-ed Fitness Company! The Waynesboro, Virginia franchise location opened in January of 2009 and is owned and operated by Judith Kay and her business partner/brother Joseph Kay. The 3,000 square foot facility hosts state of the art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment and offers personal training, child care and nutritional education.

Managed the entire proposal process, from obtaining RFP, proposal writing, and pricing through proposal presentation, contract negotiation and program execution. Participated as key member of the CHS’s Task Force Initiative; responsible for engineering a corporate employee communication plan. Hired, supervised and mentored five wellness managers.• Secured numerous government and corporate accounts for wellness screenings/HRA’s, including: Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Lands End, USAA, PBGC, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the Department of Commerce, and start-up of U.S. Foodservice, among numerous others.• Developed and spearheaded a medical clearance and physical ability testing program for the U.S. Food Service. • Developed a new process for wellness screening and negotiated an exclusive partnership with a health risk assessment (HRA) software vendor to be the sole provider. The program successfully screened 50,000+ HRA’s for major corporations like USAA, ABC Disney, Lands End, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center employees.• Automated a medical and fitness clearance and conditioning programming for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). Streamlined billing and tracking for out-of-state candidates by storing information to CHS’s databank, expanding contract revenue for CHS by 38%, and saving the PFPA $250K in annual travel expenditures.

Managed all business development initiatives for this award-winning health and fitness management and consulting company. Administered a $2M annual division budget and supported a team of 150 employees. As member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for strategic planning, critical path scheduling, human resource initiatives, and setting corporate objectives.
