I am currently pursuing a diploma in early childhood development and education (ECDE) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and am expected to graduate in May 2024.As an aspiring educator, I love to teach and develop young children. My dedication is to provide children with a safe and secure environment where they can confidently grow to their fullest potential. Being artistically inclined and people oriented, I strive to enhance my creativity, communication and teamwork skills to be able to work together with other professionals and the community, to ensure the children's holistic development. My creative skills are useful when creating unique and fun lessons that help the children’s developmental needs. For two separate kindergarten attachments, I used my creativity to successfully create and implement three different lesson plans using various teaching strategies to manage classes of up to 25 children. In addition, I believe in communication and teamwork, using this skill throughout my school project works, when working in teams to achieve a common goal. Moreover, being a member of my polytechnic’s string ensemble CCA also enhances my teamwork skills, giving me the satisfaction of working together with other musicians to play beautiful music in harmony.An achievement I’m most proud of was taking part in N.E.mation! 2019. In this animation competition, I learned the value of communication, as it was essential in communicating our team's video concept of the importance of spending time with loved ones to the panel of judges. As a result of my team's hard work, we achieved top 10 in the finals and were awarded the Social Media Award.
