In additional to 20 years experience as an art museum curator, I have taught art history at several universities in St. Louis and Norfolk, VA. I enjoy museum work as it affords me an opportunity to have a positive impact on the community and the lives of its residents. I started and continue to run a summer internship program within the Curatorial Division of the Museum, offering hands-on experience to advanced undergraduate and graduate students interested in art museums and related fields. In 2012-13, I curated an exhibition on Federico Barocci with Dr. Babette Bohn of Texas Christian University, presented in St. Louis in 2012, followed by a successful run at the National Gallery, London in 2013, that won the AAMC Award for Outstanding Museum Exhibition in 2012. I am currently preparing a show demonstrating the history of painting on stone surfaces beginning with Sebastiano del Piombo around 1530 and continuing into the 18th century, scheduled for the fall of 2017.Specialties: Sixteenth and seventeenth-century Italian Art, Artemisia Gentileschi, Women Artists of the Baroque era, Caravaggio and the Caravaggisti, Federico Barocci
