I am The Clinical Lead working for NHSE (SE) in the Kent and Medway Primary Care Training Hub leading for East Kent, supporting and growing all multi-professional roles. I am a Registered Nurse and Queen’s Nurse with 27 years’ experience in Primary Care across Kent & Medway.I previously held the Clinical Director role in Canterbury South PCN, leading through the pandemic and am also a qualified counsellor (MNCPS). I have always aimed to empower and support friends, families, and colleagues to develop their own resilience and wellbeing.I have held provider and commissioning Nurse Leadership roles in Primary Care; supporting the clinical governance agenda and transformation of primary care at grass roots level, leading high quality service delivery for patients and ensuring the workforce is fit for the future. My aim is to simplify the complex and support the translation of National Agendas to local action.I have worked in Primary Care since 1997 in clinical, management and partnership level Nursing Lead roles. I held a commissioning role as the first Clinical Nursing Lead board member for NHS Ashford CCG Governing Body and Primary Care Nursing Lead; with a portfolio for Clinical Audit and Governance. I held the Primary Care Nursing & Quality Lead role across NHS Ashford and NHS Canterbury & Coastal CCGs, supporting initial developments of Primary Care commissioning with all practices achieving Good / Outstanding CQC ratings by January 2018. I continue to work with a wide range of National and local stakeholders to improve services for patients and develop leadership and resilience at all levels. I am passionate about ensuring nurses are fit for the future and have co-ordinated clinical supervision for GPNs, contributed to a South East Coast competency framework and was seconded part time to HEE KSS; to review outcomes of the Primary Care Workforce Leads across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. I have completed the NHSE Aspirant Directors of Nursing Leadership course, represented Practice Nurses at a Reception for Nurse Leaders at Downing Street and maintain a Registered Adult Nursing Qualification. I completed a BSC(Hons) in Nursing Studies withThe RCN and remain as a Nurse Mentor & Clinical Supervisor as primary care nursing remains important to me.
