Beginning as the solo designer and promoted to Ar Director, built a team of three designers, a design coordinator, and a full-time freelance designer.• Collaborated with editor in chief, executive editors and director of production to increase publication's frequency from 6 to 12 issues per year. Changes include a more consistent design format, more efficient workilow procedures, and easie navigation for readers.• Created and implemented a redesign of the magazine in its entirety to reflect ar updated editorial strategy. Subscribers in reader surveys responded with a 51% approval rating of the design.• Launched new special issue format focused on a single topic.• Commissioned hundreds of illustrators. Negotiated artist agreements and managed artwork budget of $325k/year. Introduced and implemented commissioned photography.
