I own and run a small business creating personalised decor and gifts for children. My business aims to empower children to be proud of who they are, and what they love. I am responsible for all elements of the business including designing, planning, accounts, management, promotion, social media and brand strategy.

Since joining this relatively new team, I have worked closely with the head of comms to create a content strategy which aligns with Wolfson’s core values. I have taken the lead on all content creation across our social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, this includes taking and editing photos and videos as well as creating digital graphics. For this I have used apps including but not exclusive to Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and Later. I also create monthly planning schedules and analyze our performance data to better improve engagement. Within this role I am also responsible for producing the weekly email newsletter, which involves being contact with all members of the college including current students, staff and alumni, to ensure I am kept up to date with all the latest events and news from our community. Working with the Head of Comms at Wolfson I am also responsible for creating our annual publications (Plans and Prospects and College Record), which involves conducting interviews, writing and proofing articles, designing page layouts, and working with external print firms to ensure a high-quality final product. I also frequently attend college committee meetings, and take minutes for the college Communications Sub committee.

Throughout my time as part of this close-knit team of Editorial Assistants and Commercial Editors I regularly wrote articles which also included conducting interviews, for numerous Archant magazines. These involved a variety of genres including lifestyle, property, and education. The work requires keen research and coordination skills, and the ability to adapt to different magazine tones.
