After University I worked in the NHS for 5 years and during this time I qualified as an ACCA accountant. To broaden my experience, I transferred to the Commercial sector in 2001 and worked for Unipart Group Ltd as Finance Manager until 2006. Following a 4-year career break to bring up children, I resumed my career in 2010 at W. Stevenson & Sons Ltd where I combined Financial, HR and Company Secretary roles. I was promoted to Finance Director in 2014 and later that year also became Acting Managing Director. I progressed my career by transferring to the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group as Chief Financial Officer in 2018. The following year I was appointed as a Director and in 2020 I was appointed Company Secretary.
