I was an instructor for the Medical Billing and Office Administration course at IOT. This course includes all aspects of the Administrative Medical Assistant. It includes Medical Terminology, Medical Office Administration, Insurance Billing. and coding CPT, HCPCs, and ICD-10-CM coding.

My responsibilities at Redding Orthopedic included all aspects of the billing process. I was responsible for all of the insurance accounts and have experience with all insurance carriers including Medicare, Partnership, California Health and Wellness, Managed Care plans, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Workers Compensation, Liability Carriers and Auto Insurance Carriers. I reviewed each claim and corrected errors prior to transmitting or mailing. I am a Certified Medical Coder and I was responsible for all the coding including the surgical procedures. I have a good understanding of the guidelines for CPT coding, HCPCs and I am certified in ICD-10-CM coding as well.
