My primary goal at work is to facilitate the appreciation for the natural world, and along the way produce scientifically literate individuals capable of critically analyzing data, scientific or otherwise, with an open mind. I often challenge my students to examine situations they feel uncomfortable with and encourage a separation of emotion and facts, a skill often not ever developed in public schools.
