As a first-generation immigrant, I strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Throughout my life I have been told that excellence is achieved when an effort is put into every action; so I took that line and made it my mission.I truly enjoy the small things in life such as color-coded files, new stationery products, and quality work. I love being able to bring organization and communication both verbal and non-verbal to my environment. I realized after working in the food industry as a waitress, I limited my creativity and my natural leadership. I began my journey into educational administration as a Financial Aid assistant at CPCC. I learned that while I may be good with files and record keeping, I had a knack for people. I enjoyed helping and being someone's aid during a tough time. This transitioned me to focus on helping those with a language barrier; so I joined the ESL department at CPCC then transitioned into helping English Language Learners in curricular classes like Medical Terminology and Introduction to Business succeed at high levels. This is all done in hopes to better assist my community and expand my cultural horizons.However, my future is yet to come, with an educational background in Criminal Justice, I will continue to progress in my position in educational administration and gain the skills that accompany it. I am learning how to embrace my leadership while being a team player and becoming selfless for the greater good. Ultimately, I am tapping into a greater potential that is encouraging me to pursue a career in criminology, criminal justice and become an influential helper to my community. I still have time to gain more skills and once I do, I will give my best and return my services tenfold.
