It is clear that we are at a turning point in history. My vision and dream is that together we can make the transition towards a world in balance. That we are able to switch our collective lifestyle into a form of organisation that is more locally oriented (while internationally connected), grounded in network based co-operation, and in harmony with all other life forms. My mission as an experienced journalist and researcher is to be a constructive voice in the public debate: not just disentangling the problems of today, but focusing on alternative and inspiring narratives: how can we bring about a different tomorrow? I love to write about spirituality, religion and their interplay with current affairs. Sustainabilty and diversity also are at the top of my list of interests. But my real passion lies with the contemporary use of psychedelic plants. The current upsurge of interest in psychedelics - the so-called psychedelic renaissance - comes with many promises about their 'healing' potential. But what do we actually need to know about these wondrous plants - and the ancient ways in which they have been used - to integrate them wisely in our modern societies? Traditionally the plant is used for medicinal, spiritual and religious purposes. But the 'Angel's trumpet' also carries the notorious image of being used to deceive people as it can provoke complete loss of awareness and amnesia.
