10 years experience as founder and principal psychologist at Sparrow Psychological Services and Sparrow Centre for Children where we specialise in child-focussed therapeutic interventions. I have a keen interest in supporting orphaned, abandoned & separated children in South Africa. My work with chidlren's homes in the Kwa Zulu Natal region has inspired me to establish the charitable organisation Silver Sparrow. Our goal is simple, helping children to have the childhood they deserve. Our aim is to provide funds that ensure children have access to resources that improve their social, physical and emotional wellbeing. 25 years experience in senior management & leadership roles in the social services and community sector. My experience spans community development, child protection, family support, advocacy & social justice with a focus on refugee/humanitarian rights, domestic & family violence, implementation of quality assurance frameworks for both ISO:9001 & Disability standards, grant writing and policy development. Supporting & guiding my roles is an extensive training background, I hold a Bachelor of Social Science, GradDip in Psychology from the University of New England-Australia, a Master of Arts - Practice Based Play Therapy from Leeds Beckett University UK, & a Master of Health Science by Research from Charles Darwin University-Australia.
