In addition to gardening and the great opportunity to work with the steering committee as treasurer of our small nonprofit LLC. There are 64 beds and 19 unique family gardeners. The northwest rain wind and sunshine in a beautiful open space adjacent to the Evergreen Primary (elementary) school is an ideal setting. The gardening community itself is part of a larger community garden network in Pierce County with master gardener mentors. Raised beds, ample wood chips, designated year round sheltered composting, on-site water, individual garden fencing, tool boxes and larger tool shed and kiosk make this an inviting and usable space. We work with a local food bank to provide fresh produce and delivered nearly 3000 pounds in produce last year in donations.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) authorized and provided appropriations to states and territories through the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program. Serving grantees in 55 states and 5 territories as they intern provide funds to local implementing agencies to conduct evidence based home visiting programs in high risk communities to pregnant women and young families. •Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the Eastern Implementation Program within the Division. Provides leadership and guidance to central and regional staff in the areas of grant oversight, targeted technical assistance to states and territories in the area of home visiting, through knowledge of the current science on home visiting, the evidence based models and integration with early childhood systems. •Performs the administrative and human resource management functions. •Manages related personnel selection, team-building, reporting, communication, and program documentation processes; assures that services are fully responsive and of top quality.
