Policy Advisor Internationalisation
CurrentAs a policy advisor internationalisation, I take the lead on the policy theme of internationalisation within HAN. I contribute to the development of the institution’s strategic policy, particularly in relation to internationalisation. This includes developing policy in close collaboration with the other internationalisation policy officers and HAN management. I take part in HAN-wide consultations on internationalisation. I follow relevant developments related to the internationalisation of higher education and research and advise management and the Executive Board. I play a connecting role, both internally with the various HAN units involved in implementing the strategic agenda on internationalisation, and externally with major stakeholders, such as partner universities. The current themes at HAN are the internationalisation of the curriculum, staff and student mobility, education in languages other than Dutch, the formation of international strategic partnerships and the promotion of cultural diversity in the workplace at HAN.
International Project Officer
Work at International Relations Office (IRO) within the Faculty of Business and Management. Goal is to support internationalisation of the curriculum of study programmes to prepare students for an (international) career in an increasing globalising world. South Sudan, the newest country in the world, has some of the worst educational indicators, with education for girls being particularly poor. Only one girl in ten completes primary education and girls comprise just one-third of the secondary school population. The Girls’ Education in South Sudan Phase 2 (GESS 2) Programme aims to contribute to removing these barriers and enable a transformative societal change through education. The impact of the Programme will be to continue to transform the life chances of a generation of South Sudanese children (particularly but not exclusively girls) through education, while stabilizing priority areas of the education sector and concurrently seeking to deliver improved quality education. In my role as a Short -Term M&E Assistant, I was responsible to the Team Leader, Senior Management Team and Communications Manager to support among others with monthly report(s), data analysis and the design of a reporting template. My tasks included: contributrion to the preparation and documentation on monthly progress reports for the clients and donor. Assisting with the development and design of a M&E reporting form, a. that met the new requirements of the donor, b. that took into account the different (and new) parameters defined the project and c. tested the reporting templates and formats at various primary schools in Juba. IDesign of a master tracker for GESS 2 tools with categories for improved analysis.

Worked as a monitoring and Evaluation officer at Dabane Trust, a Zimbabwean based NGO that works in the field of small scale water supply for rural communities and for women groups in particular. Set up a monitoring and evaluation system with employees and field monitors and designed an Access database to capture all data.
