My role was introduced to lead on the management and development of Registry Services across a broad range of quality assurance, enhancement, validation and related operations, as well as leading on related projects of strategic importance to the College. This has included, amongst other things, the development of a single set of academic regulations and the review and implementation of student facing policy.

I led the Quality and Standards office, which had 18 staff members and was responsible for the development and implementation of the University's academic regulations and the quality assurance and enhancement processes for taught course and research degree provision. We worked closely with academic colleagues and professional support staff in the faculties to ensure understanding of the University's quality assurance framework and the consistent application of the University's academic regulations.The office supports academic governance structures and I oversaw the Secretariat support for Academic Council and it's sub-committees. I was a member of senior University Committees for Learning and Teaching, Quality Assurance and Enhancement and the Research Committee.I was also responsible for the management of student casework and the application of procedures and academic regulations related to academic integrity and student appeals and disciplinary procedures.I was the university's contact for the Quality Assurance Agency and worked with staff to secure Professional and Statutory Body accreditation. I have led on several audits by the QAA and have also provided support staff in partner colleges with their QAA and Ofsted visits.I have delivered staff development internally and overseas on quality assurances requirements for the University and nationally on behalf of the University, the QAA and the British Council. I have significant experience of management of collaborative provision in the UK and with overseas partners.I am a member of AUA and committed to staff development for myself and my team. I have been involved in two significant restructuring processes in the last five years which have required the re-design, and then implementation, of the structure of the Quality and Standards Office.
