Ms. Wolferts has extensive experience in employment matters, civil litigation, and appellate work. She has represented companies and governmental entities in connection with contractual issues, employment and civil rights, business matters, and administrative issues.For several years, Ms. Wolferts has represented a corporate owner of significant mineral interests in the corporation's oil and gas issues and contracts, corporate matters, and appeals. This has included dealing with agencies of the United States government and federal regulations. Ms. Wolferts also has been involved in defending products liability matters, including the phen-fen Diet Drugs products liability multistate litigation, and food-borne e-coli litigation.Ms. Wolferts has significant and substantial experience in appellate work including interlocutory appeals and drafting appellate briefs for appellants and appellees in State and Federal appellate courts. Ms. Wolferts also is available to handle appeals in matters in which her law firm was not involved in lower courts.Ms. Wolferts is a frequent lecturer on employment issues, and advises employers on a wide range of employment matters. These include employee handbooks, handling potential terminations, workplace conduct, safety and OSHA issues, Title VII and civil rights matters, pay and overtime issues, and working with the EEOC and Utah Department of Labor. Ms. Wolferts is available to draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, and to conduct investigations into employee complaints of discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation.
