As President of Miguel Cruz, an Haute Couture men’s and women’s fashion house based in Milan, responsibilities included managing sales staff for domestic and international sales, marketing, planning and placement of multi-million dollar media campaign, oversaw outside public relations agency, and coordinated bi-annual Milan runway fashion shows. Hired Robert Mapplethorpe to shoot advertising campaigns, sponsored events for Save Venice Foundation in Florence, Italy, charity galas in Chantilly, France as well as New York City in conjunction with Fashion Institute of Technology.

As Vice President, Managing Director of FMR, the esoteric art magazine of Franco Maria Ricci, I gained valuable expertise both in the art world as well as publishing. Launched American office, oversaw sales and marketing, hired and managed sales/administrative staff, developed sales/marketing tools, created “added value” packages, acted as primary liaison between advertisers and the Milan office. Negotiated rates, and ensured camera ready art was transmitted in a timely manner to Milan. Identified charities and art exhibitions to sponsor, including “the Art of Caravaggio”, and “INDIA” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
