CurrentA passion for hospitality drives the focus of Direction Training to deliver professional training for industry staff, make professional learning accessible for the smallest of businesses and achieve excellent customer service support in our own right. Originally, Direction Associates was set up as a specialist hotel consultancy supporting operational, training and HR for clients ranging from luxury 5* hotels and event companies to smaller SMEs including, Radisson Edwardian Hotels (consultant HR Director during culture change),The Ritz London, Firmdale Hotels, Sodexo (Ring & Brymer), Delaware North, Ascot Racecourse and Gatwick Airport. My work and Directorship with Hollybourne Hotels and The Best Practice Forum (listed separately) was undertaken under the umbrella of Direction AssociatesI still undertake development and research projects and have worked closely with the MIA(Meetings Industry Association) to update the AIM criteria to form AIM Secure along with developing the Re-opening guidance for meetings and events which was taken up by the DCMS.Our professional learning programmes, endorsed by The Institute of Hospitality have been awarded enhanced development points and are available for companies to put on their own LM systems under annual licence or we can host the programmes on our own system. In addition we work closely with eHotelier and have an international profile. "The development resources are entirely appropriate and use the extensive knowledge and understanding of the owner in structuring and developing the online approach. It is interesting that the approach taken in developing this set of programmes is essentially instructional. This is clearly deliberate and does provide for a strong level of content detail with appropriate explanation as to the “why” these points are important in achieving high professional standards." IofHProfessional hospitality standards and learners are at our heart … and our learners really learn!
