•Responsible for establishing and maintaining the HR department during company expansion; worked with managers to recruit, on-board staff, and open new branch office. •Successfully worked with leadership team to manage change during company merger.•Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with internal and external customers to promote and support positive employee relations, company culture, and employee engagement efforts.•Provide coaching and direction to managers and employees regarding employee relations issues. •Act as a resource to employees and managers on career development.•Administer employee benefits program including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term & long-term disability, 401k retirement plan, workers' compensation, and other fringe benefits. •Maintain and update knowledge and experience related to federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting compensation and benefits, including FLSA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.•Develop and implement human resources strategies, policies, procedures, and processes.
