Supervised the processing of print and electronic materials of required and recommended textbooks and other readings for BYU classes. Managed outreach for course reserve and OER (open educational resources) and helped to create a new website for faculty to guide them in using our services and encouraging them to use OER resources https://coursereserve.lib.byu.edu/. Liaison between the BYU Copyright Licensing Office and faculty to determine fair use and licensing. Hired, trained, supervised, and evaluated 5-9 student employees per semester. Taught information literacy and library research skills to first-year writing and advanced writing classes. Supervised document delivery for interlibrary loan (ILL) services. Technologies used: SirsiDynix: Symphony/Workflows, OCLC, ILLiad, LibGuides, LibInsight, Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), Gobi. Databases: EBSCO, ProQuest, JSTOR, PubMed (Medline), Web of Science, APA PsycInfo, ERIC, etc.

As an academic coordinator for the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at ASU, I helped to create a new undergraduate program in a new school. I worked mostly with a team of three individuals: the upcoming undergraduate chair, the assistant director of the new school, and me. This project required creating policies and standards for the program and sending in many forms to meet the specific requirements of the Provost Office and then submitting it for approval. I helped with all aspects of the program: the degree requirements, the creation of 19 new undergraduate courses, the creation of new webpages for recruiting, and many other tasks associated with getting a program up and running in a very large university. Because of our hard work we were awarded the 2016 Director's Service Award.

Middle school and high school teacher of English language arts and social studies. Planned, prepared, and delivered instructional activities that facilitated optimal learning outcomes. Established clear objectives for learning activities. Adapted and paced learning activities based on individual student’s needs. Successfully implemented writing strategies in small steps for students with disabilities or those who struggled with writing.

Office manager for a busy department office, assisting 26 faculty members. Responsible for hiring and terminating student TA's and RA's. Hired, trained and supervised 4 to 6 student secretaries. Reconciled P-card purchases. Advised students on admissions, graduation, scholarships, etc. Intervened with struggling students.

Sole instructor for 20-25 students in first-year and advanced writing courses. Designed syllabus, course schedule, and lesson plans. Responsible for grading and submitting grades. Trained and encouraged students to develop critical thinking skills and research skills. Met with students individually several times a semester to help each student improve their writing skills.
