I am so excited to be a part of The Blanchard Institute and to assist our clients and their families and support systems in navigating the admission process and appropriate placement for treatment. The facility is a very tranquil and healing environment and our clients are feeling that as soon as they walk in the door. Clients are able to enjoy the relaxing Bio Sound Therapy and Yoga as well as the group and individual therapy. Every client will enjoy an individualized treatment experience as well as their support system. We offer Family Focused Therapy as a FREE resource to our community with a 20 HOUR Workshop held every 10-12 weeks. New programming is being introduced and will include detox in the near future. I spent 22 years coordinating admissions to all levels of care to treat substance use disorders at Behavioral Health Care First Step at Carolinas Healthcare - Union. Being the first contact either by phone or in person gave me the opportunity to help the patient seeking help feel hopeful and less anxious. It was an honor to be a part of the journey they went on to become clean and sober. I also continued throughout this time to speak publicly about the negative impact of driving while impaired by mood altering substances. I keep the memories close to my heart and continue to do what I do best ... Help those seeking help!
