Judy Gray is President of CEO on Call. Her niche is as an interim CEO to help staff, members and board keep their organization stable and flourishing. Judy retired from full time employment in September 2011; she was the President/CEO of the Florida Society of Association Executives and its Foundation (www.fsae.org). Before moving to Tallahassee, Judy was President/CEO of the Fairfax County (VA) Chamber of Commerce. It served 2300 member companies in the DC metro area and hosted more than 145 events a year. She managed a 21 person staff and worked with a 125-member board of directors to develop legislative policies, quality of life and economic development strategies for the region. Prior to joining the Chamber in 1996, Judy was the first Executive Director of the National Skills Standards Board (NSSB) in DC. The organization was established by Congress to create and implement a national system of voluntary business and industry-based standards to build workforce skills, connect best practices and renew the American workplace. NSSB’s 27-member board was comprised of presidential and congressional appointments from business, labor, government and education.Judy came to the NSSB in 1993 from Issue Dynamics Inc., a national public affairs consulting firm based in Washington, DC. As a Senior Consultant, she was a lobbyist, specializing in technology, education and telecommunications issues. In 1991, Judy was national project director for the New American Schools Development Corporation (NASDC) in DC. A private, non-profit organization supported by the Fortune 50, NASDC was established to fund efforts to reinvent the American public education system.
