I am an accredited UKCP psychotherapist ,a registered member of BACP and UKAHPP I have over twenty five years experience as a psychotherapist and have worked for both public and private sector organisations. Currently I work as a supervisor, mediator, couples therapist and also see individuals. I have previously worked for NHS drug and alcohol services where I worked with clients with enduring mental health issues and personality dis-orders. I have substantial experience of working with bereaved clients and have also worked with clients who are near death in my work with Cruse Bereavement Care, Terence Higgins Trust and the Mulberry Centre. I coordinated a bereavement counselling service in Kingston for three years.As a professionally qualified teacher and trainer I have provided bespoke training on a range of therapeutic issues including suicide prevention ,stress management, and most recently mental health awareness following my training with MHFA England.l have previously undertaken diversity roles within the Home Office to promote an understanding of the impact of cultural identity within organisations.l am keen to promote therapy for sectors of the community where it is difficult for therapy to be accessed or therapy is viewed negatively.l currently work for Klearminds,a private psychotherapy clinic which is based in the city. l have recently gained a professional post graduate qualification in clinical sexology.I undertake voluntary work with the Association of Humanistic and Psychological Practitioners where I assess therapists seeking reaccreditation in line with PSA, and UKCP guidelines. For the last nine years I have undertaken a research project on the links between early childhood bereavement and addiction in later adult life.
