Prosperity's Front Door is a network of business, government, and nonprofit leaders from across Minnesota that seeks to raise awareness about the importance of affordable and workforce housing. The project focuses on the Minnesota’s Housing Task Force recommendations and other strategies to increase an affordable and diverse mix of homes in all communities for greater and shared economic prosperity for all. Prosperity’s Front Door is sponsored by Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, Family Housing Fund, and the McKnight Foundation, in partnership with Minnesota Housing and with support from the Funders for Housing and Opportunity. Top priorities and plan for Plymouth as the Ward 1 Council Member (2013 - 2017):1) I will continue strong advocacy for sound fiscal management and solid financial planning for the City's short and long-term future. We need to continue to be innovative, collaborative, and prudent with taxpayer dollars while delivering the services our residents and businesses expect and demand. We need to be mindful of revenues, expenditures, and debt, while ensuring that Plymouth retains its enviable double Aaa/AAA bond rating from Moody's Investor Services and Standard & Poor's.2) Northwest Plymouth continues to grow according to our adopted Comprehensive Plan. We need to work hard to ensure that adequate infrastructure is planned and paid for to meet the increasing demands in Ward 1, while properly maintaining our existing infrastructure. This includes planning for future Lawndale Lane, expansion of Vicksburg Lane with a bridge over the CP Rail line, improvements to County Road 47, continued planning (with previous voter approved funding) for land acquisition to continue development of the Northwest Greenway, and future life cycle housing options in safe neighborhoods. This also includes continued strong advocacy for a 3rd lane on 494 in Plymouth - ACCOMPLISHED in 2014!3) I will continue hard work on behalf of our citizens and businesses making sure that we remain a top community to live, work, and play. We need to keep Plymouth an attractive place for businesses to locate and expand, helping grow jobs and our economy through strategic economic development activities. When issues, challenges, or opportunities present themselves, I will continue a strong partnership with fellow citizens to find workable solutions and creative strategies to move our City forward and build an even brighter future for all.

For over 30 years, TwinWest has served as an advocate for jobs and the growth of the business sector. Professional Experience• Led the TwinWest public policy advocacy activities through the supporting the TwinWest Government Affairs Committee and the TwinWest Chamber board of directors in policy research, analysis, drafting through adoption, and executing the Chamber’s annual legislative priorities, the Business Agenda. • Planned and executed high-profile political public policy events including the 2008 3rd Congressional debate and the 2010 Gubernatorial debate, and the 2012 Senator Klobuchar breakfast, driving member involvement and strong revenue for each annual budget.• Worked proactively as spokesperson with local media to position TwinWest and its advocacy issues by successfully generating news stories, on camera interviews, member media-prep, press releases, photo submissions that worked to support the Chamber’s mission and Business Agenda.• Wrote extensively for TwinWest’s monthly Directions magazine, In Touch weekly e-newsletter via Constant Contact, web site content, and board reports.
