Leading the commercial, business development and income generating business areas. Providing strategy and direction, overseeing the commercial team and reporting to a board of 8, to deliver the 4 key company wide Business Plan objectives using the organisation’s values, regional strategy, Scotland Outlook 2030 and NSET. Aiming to make the Fife community a better place to do business, experience, and live.Part of the delivery team that oversaw the launch of refurbished (£7.8m) Adam Smith Theatre, development and integration of the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) strategy and products across 6 OnFife sites. Working collaboratively with MICE venues to support the new MICE business model, income streams and event delivery.

Partnership with Scotland's economic agencies, which drives the growth of Business Events in Scotland. Successful strategic collaboration has been achieved between industry, national and regional agencies shaping and influencing Scotland’s Business Tourism landscape. This role has required a focused, diplomatic and pragmatic approach resulting in ambitious growth targets and greater political recognition of the significant contribution that business events make to the Scottish economy.

Founding member of this national and strategic group which leads Scotland's national tourism strategy Tourism Scotland 2020. Provide insight and experience to influence the strategic interventions which will best stimulate the growth of the sector. Requires in-depth understanding of the tourism industry, appreciation and understanding of the policy framework and the ability to drive change strategically and collaboratively

Responsible for the vision, creation and operational delivery of GSC’s commercial & corporate events, food & beverage and customer experience. Oversees the on-going development of key high profile accounts, income generation, strategic partnerships and stakeholders from Scotland’s economic growth sectors. Leads a core team of 45 to achieve sales, events & catering operational, financial and development goals.
