Leading people in new field of project management and controls application in Grid Solutions. Contributing to the successful completion of grid improvement projects across the entire Duke Energy service area in NC, SC, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Florida. The Grid Improvement Initiative focuses on projects that will improve reliability, harden the grid against attacks, expand renewable energy and give customers more options and control over energy use and tools to save money. The Grid Solutions Project Controls team provides project estimating, business case development, schedule, cost and risk management.

Responsible for Project Controls support for the Project Managment & Construction Division of The merged Duke Energy. Includes support of Projects in NC, SC, Ohio, Indiana, and Florida.

After completing successful turnover from previous manager, evaluated progress on major tool development (Strategic Horizons), set plans in place to close gap on remaining requirements, completing risk assessments of non-routine projects for 2012 to help managment decision making, developing better funding (201) package controls and monitoring, change manager for timekeeping tool use changes, no loss of momentum on continuing processes and monthly tracking and reporting for variance analysis and forecasting for the department. Monthly tracking, trending and reporting continuing in quality manner and on time for budget tracking, labor tracking, contractor tracking, outage cost tracking, invoice processing, accrual proecessing and funding package processing.

Responsible for Project Controls support for Nuclear and F/H generation inCarolinas and MidWest.
