Use group consensus to advise the Board of Commissioners on waste reduction, reuse, recycling and disposal policy issues. Review and participate in updating the Marion County Solid Waste Management Plan. Maintain knowledge of current practices, issues and trends mostly statewide but also regionally.Apply my knowledge and other resources to issues before the council.

Promote waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting at home, at work and at events. Completed over 100 hours of payback. Recruit more Master Recycler volunteers. Plan and carry out minimum waste community events using waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting at much as possible. Maintain current knowledge of waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting including issues and trends. Assist with Master Recycler classes. Prepare written material on reducing waste at events. Use my knowledge and other resources to answer public questions about waste management issues. Regularly attend Stayton area community events where I give recycling and/or waste reduction tips and answer any questions. Research waste reduction, reuse, recycling and disposal options for materials about which I have been asked. Update the Marion County Recycling database including verifying listings and suggesting reorganizing of some categories. Participate in as many AOR, Association of Oregon Recyclers, and other conferences and forums as possible to maintain knowledge of current issues and trends both locally and regionally including ReuseConex 2012, ResourceFULL Use workshops, Go Green Portland, Our Green Washington County and Salem-Keizer Sustainability Summit. Volunteer for the Mid-Valley Green Awards 2014 and 2015.

Help establish the Dept. of Corrections new recycling program including teaching inmates how to sort paper, plastic and textiles for recycling and encourage waste reduction, reuse and recycling.

Using QuickBooks: enter payroll data, print paychecks, prepare quarterly payroll tax reports, enter receipts, prepare job profitability reports, pay bills as directed. Use MS Word and Excel to produce reports, letters, etc. In Excel, maintain material pricing data.Promote recycling to all my clients.
