Happy Hooves Experience is a new found business aimed at supporting people with disabilities, abuse, bullying, cancer sufferers, domestic violence, aged, trauma and also young people and woman at risk. Self-esteem is built using the AEFL (Australian Equine Facilitated Learning) techniques utilised in interactions with horses, miniature donkeys and the client.These interactions can be both empowering and therapeutic for the client, building self-esteem, self-worth, focus and trust. Horses have long being known as a majestic and empowering animal which instils calm and gives unconditional love to the person having the interactions. Its also FUN!!!!Miniature donkeys have their own way of producing 'happy endorphins ' in a person who may feel down, disengaged or troubled, through their humorous antics and the loving way they interact. The combination of horses and miniature donkeys provides the opportunity to reach clients of all ages. Offering a totally mobile service, Happy Hooves Experience has the ability to reach the most isolated and restricted client either in a residential facility, private home, or business and is available to organisations throughout the Central & Western Victoria districts.Services will include: one on one client sessions focusing on the individual client’s needs to group sessions requiring more team work and group focus. Most of these sessions are ground based - there is no therapeutic advantage to be gained by being on the horse. In certain cases EFL can be done mounted if this kind of interaction is deemed more beneficial. These sessions are very limited and the mounted module of AEFL is closely monitored by the facilitator to be applied only in specific cases of the client need. AEFL- Happy Hooves Experience provides a guided interaction between the client and horse (or donkey) to promote feelings of well-being in all involved – Happy times with Happy Hooves!

As a Level 1 Facilitator of EFL, I can offer 'one on one' guided interactions with participants and a horse ( or miniature donkey) for the benefit of all concerned. EFL develops the ability for a client to connect with a horse, empower and show how relationships can be improved through these interactions. EFL sessions are FUN..................and can be adapted to each clients abilities. Some people wish to just hang out with the horse, other more confident may wish to participate in horse agility. Either way there is something for everyone. Main benefits are: empowerment, focus, self-worth, trust, building more positive relationships and much more.
