Savings increased year over year with $800,000 achieved in 2018. Orchestrated ten-company U.S. ocean freight and customs’ broker RFI/RFP in April 2019 substantiating current vendor’s costs were competitive, as closest next bid was 7.63% higher. Cut $120,000 in ocean freight expense for Canada entity through freight rate analysis leading to change in NVOCC.• Global Trade Compliance: Investigated significant U.S. Customs (CBP) issue not addressed by prior department management in 2009. Led to filing of three prior disclosures and introduction of company import/export compliance program through: Development of policies/procedures encompassing CBP/BIS/OFAC/CBSA programs such as EAR, FTR, FTA, EAR, ADD/CVD, GSP, and Section tariff applicability.
