I am currently working with various companies to support their health & safety and live event requirements. I am also an associate at the Emergency Planning College at Easingwold where I facilitate a range of courses relating to public safety at events.For many years I was the Managing Director of MRL Safety Limited, which provided safety services to a wide variety of companies across Yorkshire and the UK. We also specialised in providing safety services to the live events and broadcast industry, both in the UK and internationally. I have been the lead director for safety management for a number of high-profile events including Bestival, V Festival, Papal visit, Creamfields, Queens Jubilee events, the Barclaycard British Summer Time events in Hyde Park, London and the BBC coverage at the Royal Wedding, to name just a few. In addition, I specifically lead on event control rooms, developing temporary, multi-agency, operational control facilities at large and complex events. Prior to founding MRL Limited in 1998, I worked in the banking sector and adolescent residential care, and have a Diploma in Social Work; Business Studies and a NEBOSH General Certificate.
