Served as the Chair of Subject Analysis Committee (2011-2013) which sponsored the following programs: Eric Miller "Future of subject analysis in the BIBFRAME model", Kevin Ford "When URIs become the authority: Benefits and challenges of library linked data", Diane Vizine-Goetz "It is all about discovery", and Karen Coyle "KO: Knowledge Organization".Additionally, the SAC committee approved three proposals: 1) Defining new field 385, 2) Defining new field 386, and 3) Defining encoding elements to record chronological categories and dates of works and expressions in the MARC 21 Bibliographic and Authority Formats.

Responsible for the compilation of British Academic Book Index.

Served on Dissertation Proposal Committee and Dissertation Defense Committee of Wan-Yin Hong at School of Information Sciences, University of Pittsburgh. Wan-Yin Hong's dissertation title is "A descriptive user study of bilingual information seekers searching for online information to complete four tasks."

Taught Cataloging & Classification (17:610:522, summer I and II 2009). These were online courses using eCollege.

Oversaw cataloging, acquisitions, collection development, SirsiDynix system, and budget management. Worked at reference desk and delivered bibliographic instruction. Directed the upgrade of SirsiDynix software from Unicorn to Symphony. Supervised 2 professional librarians and 3 staff. Compiled Collection Development Policy Manual. Used Resources for College Libraries (RCL) for collection assessment. Worked closely with vendors on outsourcing of cataloging and authority control.

Served as a reviewer for CUNY Collaborative Incentive Research Grant (up to $40,000 a year).

Participated in the research teams of the interactive track of TREC (Text Retrieval Conference) and the evaluation of the Moving Image Collections.

Managed cataloging, acquisitions, serials, collection development, budget management, and interlibrary loan. Supervised 4 professional librarians and 11 full-time staff.

Managed cataloging, acquisitions, serials, collection development, and budget management (close to 1 million dollars). Also managed Media Services 1991-1995. Directed the serials automation project from manual to Innopac. Directed the migration from GEAC (cataloging and circulation) and Innopac (acquisitions, serials, and fiscal control) to Sirsi. Supervised 11 full-time staff.

Managed copy cataloging unit that cataloged some 35,000 titles per year. Served on the implementation teams of OCLC-NOTIS interface (GTO) and PRISM. I was the first AV cataloger when the library began to develop the media collections. Supervised 7 senior copy catalogers.

Managed cataloging, acquisitions, serials, and collection development. Directed the automation project including RFP writing, system evaluation, retrospective conversion, and system design. This was the library's very first online integrated system and OPAC. Supervised 4 staff.

Acquired materials for all libraries of the National Taiwan University, including domestic and western books.

Supervised a group of 12 students to develop CCCII (Chinese Character Code for Information Interchange) which was a critical development for computerized communication in Chinese.
