A "Scottish lass" who graduated with B.A Hons from the world-renowned Scottish College of Textiles, she won the prestigious Ballantyne Cashmere Design Award and went on to launch her career as a designer, working with the best of Scotland’s famed cashmere mills. Her designs were sold to brands such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Burberry, Harrods and Aquascutum; her garments worn by royalty and celebrities. Her sophisticated hand and keen understanding of the industry assisted several of the mills in winning The Queens Award for Export. As Judy’s mark on the industry broadened, she went on to set up "joint ventures" between UK mills and overseas factories, consulting with established factories in Mauritius, China and Mongolia, designing, training, QC, marketing and once again selling to brands such as Burberry, Aquascutum, Guess, etc.Specialties: Playing a key role in company reorganization, including revitalizing stale products, restructuring the product mix and improving merchandising strategies. Sourcing, designing and project managing offshore products and production.
