Provide information, programs and events that support the engagement of older people in all aspects of community life as well as advocating an age friendly approach across Councils services, planning, processes and strategies.Key responsibilities include:+ Support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, plans and projects that improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for older people.+ Support not for profit senior community clubs, groups and Men’s Sheds to be vibrant, inclusive, accessible and sustainable.+ Identify potential funding opportunities, promote and provide support to senior’s groups to apply for grants. Assessor of Council's Annual Community Grants.+ Manage and deliver the annual Bayside Healthy Ageing Seniors Festival (BHASF). + Coordinate the Bayside Healthy Ageing Reference Group (BHARG) and meetings. + Deliver information and education sessions that support and encourage healthy ageing+ Develop and maintain partnerships with internal Council departments, external organisations, and government agencies to advocate and improve community outcomes.+ Educate and improve awareness about Elder Abuse and Ageism, within Council and the community.+ Identify, support, and establish intergenerational programs and activities.+ Deliver actions identified in Bayside’s Municipal Public Health and Well Plan and complement those from the State Government’s Ageing Well in Victoria Action Plan 2022-2026.+ Monitor and assess information about the wellbeing of the Bayside seniors and provide advice on key issues, service delivery, changing needs and priorities.+ Manage 7 Council buildings and work closely with user groups of those buildings

Established and managed Council’s Delivered Meals volunteer program.Duties and responsibilities included:+Recruited, trained, led and managed over 140 volunteers to support various Council’s Aged & Disability Services’ programs and initiatives.+ Coordinated and delivered training, workshops, information sessions and events.+ Developed and implemented a volunteer reward and recognition program.+ Developed and streamlined Council's policies and procedures on volunteering.
