I have the privilege of helping vulnerable children, and I get to support their families by significantly improving the child’s life experiences. I also get to leverage my 30 years of professional experience to see tangible results in the lives of those I serve. Through my detailed observations, assessments, and monitoring, I know that when I make a recommendation, a child will be on the road to improving target behaviors.With 20 years of experience as a BCBA, I conduct detailed assessments that:• Identify the important variables that control behavior within the content the behavior is being used• Assist stakeholders by providing written plans for improving problematic behaviors• Teach more socially appropriate behaviors that meet the needs and wants of the individual• Provide a resources and recommendations to increase the individual’s quality of lifeNot only do I have comprehensive experience working with parents to help them understand and change the problematic behaviors of their children, over the past 30 years I have provided behavioral training and support to both regular education and special education staff. I also have a Master of Science in Educations and have experience as a classroom teacher for students ages three through college.Speaking of college, one of my greatest experiences was serving as a lecturer for two universities. I taught new teachers how to successfully manage their classrooms and how to complete assessments. For one university, I taught a course titled, Teaching of Reading, and I had the pleasure of serving as a supervisor for student teachers for one summer session.My goal as a BCBA is to continue to apply my ABA expertise in a variety of areas and age groups. I believe continuous improvement is important. For this reason, I want to increase my proficiency with people of all ages, in particular with emotionally disturbed children and patients with Acquired Brain Injury.
