Responsible for providing mechanical designs that support the product development and goals of the organisation, as well as undertaking design and engineering analysis tasks and provide guidance/mentorship to other Mechanical Design engineers.Responsibilities:· Produce mechanical designs that satisfy requirements in the specified time frames· Undertake mechanical design analysis in support of product development activities· Work with systems engineers to ensure that all requirements are identified, captured and analysed, such that the design can be developed to satisfy requirements· Undertake test and evaluation activities on mechanical system designs to verify and sign-off all design requirements· Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and complete system designs· Prepare and review all documentation required to support designs· Review work and provide guidance and mentorship to Mechanical Design Engineers· Work with project Engineers to ensure design solutions are delivered on time and on budget, as well as meeting other project management requirements.

- Design vehicle integration kits (Ajban, Nimr) for light vehicles, heavy vehicles and specialist defence equipment.-Conduct Topology optimisation (FEA) on lightweight structures-Modal analysis on structures for determining the inherent dynamic characteristics of a system in forms of natural frequencies, damping factors and mode shapes- Generate mechanical finite-element-analysis (FEA) on Hatch roof structures and Body frames.- Post processing of FEA results, emphasising on maximum stress, deformation and factor of safety.- Perform hand calculations to validate FEA results and load rating.- Prepare technical and engineering reports- Generate accurate 3D models (SolidWorks)- Generate accurate full BOM, part and assembly detail drawings and DXF drawings for laser cutting.
