I love flying. The belonging that is felt up in the air whilst at the controls in combination with the rich scenery has me wanting to be back up there after every landing. Aviation has been a part of my life from a very young age; I loved looking at the planes through the glass windows at terminals, I still do. As such, at the end of high school, I decided to turn my dreams into a reality by pursuing a career in that very field. I started off my aviation career by successfully completing a Bachelor of Aviation from Griffith University; an experience that involved long days and hard work, making memories with lifelong friends, opportunities for leadership and volunteering experiences. Upon completion, I shifted to New Zealand where I was accepted into the International Aviation Academy of New Zealand, where I have completed my Commercial Pilots Licence and Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, and soon to complete my Category C Instructor Rating. I am currently working at Airways New Zealand, as an Operational Safety Administrator, a part of wider Operational Safety Team, dealing with audio and surveillance data extraction to then be provided to the relevant parties and/or authorities. I have also been in the process of producing a document manual that outlines the procedures and processes involved. I aspire to be a flight instructor to kick start my career as a pilot. I am truly passionate about helping future pilots and facilitating them in order to progress their careers. I have often looked dup to my instructors and the knowledge and experience they have shared with me; I hope that I can inspire future pilots the same way my instructors had inspired me. I want to use this to progress my career as my ambition is to become a Check and Training Captain at an airline, where I can offer the same instructional qualities to future airline pilots.
