Podcast HostNetcast Studio Feb 2011 - Mar 2013My online radio show "Google at a Glance" was twice voted one of the top 10 technology podcasts in the world (2011 and 2012, PodcastAwards.com). Each week I discussed internet and Google news with guests from across the tech news industry. Some notable guests include Fox News anchor/technology reporter Clayton Morris, tech writers Mike Elgan and Steven Levy and social media giants Robert Scoble and Guy Kawasaki.The show ran for 85 episodes, each around 45 minutes long.As an offshoot of the podcast, I created "From The Plex" (a play on words from the well known Google headquarters nickname, The Google Plex). FTP was a weekly, one-minute scripted audio program distributed for free to tech news podcasts. The segment offered me a chance to include a brief advertisement for my main podcast, while at the same time giving other shows a quick summary of the most important Google happenings of the week. This type of segment benefits the distributor (advertisement), the podcast that runs it (free, highly-produced content) and the listener (lots of information in a short amount of time).
