Seeds of Fortune Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 by Nitiya Walker that focuses on providing financial literacy education and college preparation support specifically for young women of color. The organization helps high school girls learn about financial aid, scholarships, budgeting, and investment strategies to make informed decisions about their education and financial future. Through their "Seed Girls" program, they offer mentorship, workshops, and resources to help participants navigate the college application process and build financial knowledge.Key Objectives Being Met: Currently completing college prep program with professionalism & networking. Youth Education Association (Y.E.A.) is a registered Charitable Organization that started in June 2020. Y.E.A. focuses on assisting students educationally, socially, mentally and in personal development by providing services, equipment, workshops, treats and other activities that will aid in their holisticdevelopment and academic journey to achieve their goals.Key Objectives:1. Create all flyers for the Association in line with the established standards.2. Editing of videos for the Association.3. Create all graphics for the Association.4. Take photographs at different projects.5. Video record at different projects.

The National Secondary Students’ Council was established in 1975, through a policy brought before government in 1973. This policy came as a response to the growing demand for effective student representation and the need for students’ involvement in the decision making process of schools at the all levels. Student governance in Jamaica gained legal status through the 1980 Education Act, following 1970s major advocacy growth.Key Objectives Achieved:1. Organize Health and Wellness Workshops on Physical Fitness and Nutrition: i. Plan and execute workshops that promote healthy habits, exercise, and balanced diets among students.2. Advocate for Improved Cafeteria Menus with Healthier Food Options: i. Collaborate with school administrators to implement and advocate for healthier food choices in the cafeteria.3. Create Educational Materials on the Importance of Balanced Diets and Hydration: i. Develop informative materials to educate students about the significance of nutrition and hydration.4. Advocate for the Inclusion of Mental Health Education in the School Curriculum: i. Work with school administrators and policymakers to integrate mental health education into the curriculum or existing subjects like health and family life education.5. Conduct Surveys and Focus Groups to Assess the Mental Health Needs of Students: i. Create anonymous surveys and focus group discussions to gather data on students' mental health concerns, stressors, and coping mechanisms. Use insights to tailor initiatives accordingly.6. The National Youth Parliament of Jamaica (NYPJ) was started in November 2003 as a non-partisan initiative aimed at providing youth from across Jamaica with a forum to express their views, network and debate issues of concern in the House of Representatives. The Parliament has traditionally been hosted as part of the slate of activities for National Youth Month celebrations in Jamaica, with the most recent sitting being in November 2019.The NYPJ is structured to provide an opportunity for youth to deepen their understanding of parliamentary democracy, while developing skills in research, policy formulation and analysis, advocacy, public speaking and communication. Key Objectives Achieved: - Encouraged active citizenship among youth and promote involvement in democracy and governance;- Analysed and provided feedback from a youth perspective on statements, ministry papers, green papers and bills before the Houses of Parliament;- Promoted youth mainstreaming into national policies, strategies and programmes.
