CurrentDirector of Resolve West, a local independent charity that provides professional, neutral and impartial conflict resolution and restorative justice services to individuals, neighbourhoods and communities in Avon & Somerset to resolve conflict and repair harm. This includes working with individuals, and groups and communities across neighbourhoods, organisations and also within the Criminal Justice System to provide conflict resolution and restorative justice across Avon & Somerset.We have a team of experienced and skilled staff with over 75 volunteer practitioners who between them provide over 7000 volunteer hours!. We also provide training and volunteering opportunities through our conflict resolution training and restorative justice training and have a robust induction and support and supervision structure for all of our volunteers to enable their development and to increase their confidence in delivering these vital services. We work in partnership with other agencies including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, ASB and Environmental Teams, Police, Criminal Justice Agencies and other statutory and voluntary agencies including SARI (Stand against Racism and Inequality), Bristol Mind, Brandon Trust, Off the Record, Bristol Law Centre, Victim Support, Young Victims Service, Safe Link, SWAN VOCAS to name a few, to ensure a seamless service available to people whatever stage of their journey from early intervention work through to restorative approaches within the CJS.(In addition I am also a Community Mediator having practiced for over 21 years since undergoing my accredited mediation training.)
