My focus lies in bridging the gap between lofty policy frameworks and practical implementation strategies—ensuring that our efforts lead to lasting improvements.Current Role: Technical Advisor on Village Planning (MINALOC) under Spark Microgrants project. As a Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC), I provide high-level policy advice with a specific focus on village-level planning and social protection. My work includes actively building capacity in village-level planning and citizen participation. It’s a dynamic space where theory meets practice, and I’m committed to driving positive change at the grassroots level.Achievements at Shelter Them (NGO): During my tenure as Country Director at Shelter Them—an NGO dedicated to community support—I steered the organization’s strategic direction. Resource mobilization played a crucial role, enabling impactful programs for vulnerable communities. We balanced cost-effectiveness with quality, making a real difference in people’s lives.Law Enforcement Advisor in South Sudan: From 2010 to 2012, I served as a Law Enforcement Advisor under the UNDP Rule of Law, Governance, and Decentralization Unit in South Sudan. My focus was on designing effective policing systems. I provided guidance to the State Police Commissioner and Senior Management Team, emphasizing security approaches that fostered community trust. Building strong relationships with stakeholders was essential for success.UNAMID Mission in Sudan/Darfur: Between 2007 and 2009, I managed critical communication as the In Charge of Reports at the African Union - United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID). Our intelligence reports informed operational planning, ensuring accurate and timely responses to security situations. It was a demanding role, but one that underscored the importance of effective information flow.Demobilization and Reintegration efforts as the head of the Demobilization Unit from 2002 to 2007, I oversaw successful discharge and reinsertion programs. Coordinating with partners, we facilitated the voluntary return of ex-combatants. Our sensitization strategies encouraged community participation, emphasizing the importance of peacebuilding and reintegration.
