While working at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi my main objective is to handle events from the inquiry status until the post event feedback as per the IHG standards to create Great Hotels Guest Love. Mainly, I am dealing with corporate clients however; I am also involved in private events and governmental events. I have learnt the importance to maintain great business relationships with your clients through constant follow ups and joining the field sales team on sales calls for important C&B clients. Due to busy operations I managed to develop excellent time management and organizations skills. Besides the every day business I took part to develop strategies to increase revenue and to drive certain types of business with high potential e.g. developing a new package for pharmaceutical companies in order to give those more options while booking with the InterContinental Abu Dhabi and commissionable packages for event agencies. In addition to the events I am the departmental trainer and therefore, I am responsible for monthly trainings and to train new comers to the team to explain them the routines of the Convention Sales Department and the IC Meeting Standards (certified in December 2010). To have a standardized training for each one joining or doing cross exposure I created a Training plan.

At Hilton Al Ain my main objective was to handle the enquiries as per Hilton Standards as well as preparing and finalizing all details for upcoming events. In addition to this I was giving site inspections and went on Sales Calls in order to maintain and create business relationships. Besides handling events I was responsible for all administrative office work including monthly attendance, daily and weekly reports for the forecast meetings as well as the implementation of new Hilton Meeting Standards.Furthermore, I was responsible for the Business Centre including handling guests requests, budgeting and maintaining all the resources in the Business Centre. Due to a lot of German Tour Groups travelling to the Hilton Al Ain I was responsible as a Guest Relation Officer for the groups.
