Served for 22 years as a logistics expert specialising in driving in arduous conditions and the equipment husbandry of fighting units. I qualified as a driving instructor and Defence Driving examiner on all HGVs and armoured vehicles including routine maintenance ,servicing off road driving all terrain, recovery and was also a hazardous materials transportation instructor. In the last few years in the Army were spent as a Regimental SHEF advisor where i was responsible for the health and safety of almost 1000 personnel, and finally as Battery Quarter Master where i was responsible for the equipment husbandry, spares support and warehouse management of a 100 strong fighting unit equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles and nearly 100 support vehicles.Operationally, I have significant experience. I served with distinction as a young NCOin Northern Ireland in the late 1980s and in the first Gulf War. I returned to Iraq again in 2007.In addition to campaign medals for Northern Ireland, the first Gulf War and Iraq, I alsohold the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal. I have always been a strong performer. Throughout my career I showed the commitment and good humour necessary for team work under arduous conditions.
