Julhas is a computer science engineer and health informatics specialist currently working as a Researcher for the International Vaccine Institute's (IVI). He is working on the AMR, AMU, AMC surveillances for Human Health sectors, Clinician and Private Sector Engagement, and Microbiology Laboratory External Quality Assurance (EQA) trail with the 12 South and Southeast Asian countries. For the last ten years, Julhas has been working on different disease surveillances, with a particular focus on project implementation, application development, interoperability, advance data analysis, visualisation and scientific writing using latest technologies. Previous to joining IVI, Julhas worked with the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo to design and develop DHIS2 interoperable applications, act as a skill development mentor and AMR surveillance for ICMR in India. He completed his undergraduate in Computer Science Engineering from Pabna University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh, diploma in Enterprise Application Development (J2EE) from Infosys, Mysore, India and master’s degree in Public Health. He has previously worked with a variety of national and international organizations such as University of Oslo, USAID-MTaPS, Management Sciences for Health, Bashundhara Group and collaborative projects with Big Data Institute-University of Oxford, Brigham and Women's Hospital-USA, Public Health Surveillance Group-USA, UKAID, WHO, UNICEF, ICDDRB, Save the Children, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Communicable Disease Control, IEDCR, National Tuberculosis Program, Bangladesh Pharmacy Council, DGDA and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
