Converted from a trainee to a full-time staff for a short duration so as to continue to support the team and transition out of the company smoothly. My responsibilities remained the same.Responsibilities:- Performed maintenance, patching and upgrading of our customer's AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud infrastructure. Operating systems managed include RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Microsoft Windows Server 2016. Software upgrades included Tomcat upgrades and routine certificate renewals.- Performed stock-taking, housekeeping and creation of AWS CloudWatch alarms to improve the continuous monitoring of our customer's cloud infrastructure.- Served as a Primary Engineer for a full week every month. As a Primary Engineer, I remained on standby duty 24/7 for the week and acted as the liaison between our customer, the infrastructure team and the applications team. During incidents, I also supported the troubleshooting efforts.- Worked closely with the applications team to deploy updated versions of applications to our systems in the cloud.

Emerging Technology News Management - ‘techWatch’- Initiated and implemented several initiatives to collect, disseminate and apply news on emerging technologies.- Led and facilitated a brainstorming session on the potential business applications of drones. This led to the start of work on a drone deliverable.- Arranged and facilitated a talk on Artificial Intelligence by a business developer from IBM for the ENGIE staff.Business Development- Contacted several companies selling weather cameras to discuss a possible collaborationbetween them and ENGIE Lab Singapore for application in microgrids.- Benchmarked the weather cameras according to 3 sets of criteria and proposed the bestweather camera to the Business Department.
