🌱 Where It Started:The landscape industry has been a part of my life from day one—literally! The same year I was born, my dad, David, launched his own landscaping business. As a kid, you could find me in the office helping with cleaning, filing papers, and of course, stealing from the candy jar. In high school, I joined the field team – learning everything from mowing lawns, pulling weeds, and pruning shrubs, to shoveling snow until 3am the day before college finals. These hands-on experiences instilled in me a deeper understanding of the industry's nuances, for both landscape clients as well as the hard-working frontline employees. When David sold Corion Landscape, I transitioned to working with the new owners as an office manager. This role deepened my understanding of office operations, team-building, and human resources—skills that have been invaluable throughout my career. 🖥️ Aspire Software Consultant:In 2020, David founded Two Twelve Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in Aspire Software training for landscape companies. Shortly after, I joined the team, focusing on consulting services like end-of-month support, improving software efficiencies, and designing custom web reports. This experience allowed me to combine my industry knowledge with cutting-edge technology to streamline processes for our clients. 🪴 Business Ownership:After a couple of years away from the landscape industry, an opportunity arose to reacquire the company my dad had sold. I decided to take the leap—this time as an owner. Running Innovative Landscape was one of my proudest achievements. I gained invaluable experience managing field teams, optimizing software to support operations, meeting client needs, and handling everything from dispatching to navigating snowstorm logistics.
