Hello! I'm Julia Beaird, a junior Biomedical Engineering student from San Antonio, Texas. I am passionate about my major and the opportunity it give me to help others. Currently on the Biomechanics track, I have interest in Cardiac Mechanics, which I get to explore as a student worker in the Cardiovascular Pathology Lab. Beyond my academics, I deeply value the people I work alongside- classmates and professors alike. I consider myself a lifelong learner and am always eager to dive into topics that those around me are passionate about. My love for helping others also translates to the community, where I've served as a volunteer YoungLife leader for five years, including at two camps. My time as a leader has been incredibly rewarding and has largely contributed to who I am today. In my free time I love cooking new meals for my roommates to sample, anything outdoors, especially running and hiking, and getting a cup of coffee with friends.
