As a teacher at BEHS, I am passionate about physics, STEM, and inquiry-based learning. I have a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Physics from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Master of Arts in Physics Teacher Education from Western Governors University. I have been teaching physics for over ten years and adult education Math classes for over five years. I have also taught general science (middle and high school), science electives, and astronomy. I use innovative and engaging methods to help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills. I collaborate with other teachers and administrators to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and curricula. I am constantly working and researching to keep my curriculum relevant and use best practices. I am committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can explore their interests and potentials and where diversity and equity are valued and respected.
