I am a skilled and experienced healthcare leader and have recently completed the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. I am now taking a break from the NHS to explore research in the health sector by undertaking an MSc in Global Health and Development at UCL. Through this degree I have developed skills in research practices with a grounded education in both quantitative and qualitative methods. I am now employing these skills while as I complete a mixed methods analysis for the national ASSIST study. My experience in the NHS has been varied with the leadership scheme consisting of three placements, central leadership training and a postgraduate diploma in Healthcare Leadership.     In a Band 7 position responsible for the successful programme management of Islington Borough Partnership, the local Islington place-based partnership. This included:• Driving integrated working to improve population health in Islington through the Islington Borough Partnership Board. Working closely with Local Authorities, social care, Public Health, primary care, the voluntary sector and acute providers to deliver on population health improvements.• Management of local communications for the Borough Partnership as well as responsible for administrative services at the monthly Board meetings such as writing Board papers, presenting and writing minutes.• Direct management of local Islington health inequalities budget of over £650,000. Supporting the identification and development of 11 health inequalities projects funded through this stream and responsible for the evaluating, contracting, and financing of these programmes. Projects varied from holistic physical health support for people experiencing homelessness to community champions and engagement to increase the uptake of childhood immunisations and cervical cancer screening.• Led on the evaluation and service review of the Islington Navigation Service worth £360,000, using quantitative and qualitative data to understand the service and make recommendations for improvements.• Working across the ICB and with public health as the local lead to develop a programme and bid for funding to increase cancer screening among communities with low uptake.• Supporting the development of the North Central London Health and Care Academy which aims to tackle recruitment and retention challenges by supporting local people into the health and care workforce. This also increases community wealth and the diversity of our workforce. Working with the council and training providers to develop this programme through steering groups and task and finish groups.
